Proposed Act 250 Rules

The Board is proposing amendments to the Act 250 Rules. The Act 250 Rules guide the implementation of Act 250, Vermont's Land Use and Development Control Law.

The proposed rule revisions include:

  • Updates to the Master Plan and Partial Review processes, as a result of a Board-led stakeholder outreach process pursuant to Section 38 of Act 199.
  • Rules to address the new Downtown Findings process for projects in Designated Downtowns.
  • Rules and updates to address the Board’s Jurisdictional Opinion Reconsideration process.
  • Proposed changes to other rules, for clarity or consistency with existing law.
